On October 28, 1974, 52 million people tuned in to see Rhoda Morgenstern (Valerie Harper) get married.

Up to that point it was the second highest rated show in television history.
The first being when Lucy Ricardo gave birth to Little Ricky in 1953.

Location shots were filmed all over New York City, including the Bronx and the upper west side.

The comedy starts when Phyllis forgets to pick up Rhoda for her wedding.
She can't find a cab so is forced to take the subway in her bridal gown.
Photo shows her on an elevated train station somewhere in the Bronx.
For all of her wedding day troubles at least Valerie was awarded the Emmy that year for her performance!
